“Perspective” was inspired by the different stages of life. Drastically different styles of painting and colour palettes showcase the range of experiences in life. Childhood is represented by realistic colours, showcasing the bluntness of the younger years. Simplicity is used to represent the monotony of the middle-aged years. The cartoonish style shows how, during these times, you only see what is right in front of you with no way around it; hence the 2D style. Old age is represented by an impressionistic style of painting creating a dream-like feeling within the viewer to embody the tranquillity of the later years.
