Gouache gives a relaxing and stress-free sort of feel when used. The state of both blending in and standing out is shown through the paintings, I used gouache to help convey this meaning even further. My nameless character tells the story of how being a chameleon for other people is pointless and that it is better to be yourself and observe outwards instead of focusing your time and energy on what others may think. My art pieces were inspired by my observations and thought process as I immersed myself with my surroundings: man-made, natural and human.
