ARTIST STATEMENT
This artwork series was created to show the uniqueness of an overgrown plant dystopia. It contains plants, water, run-down alleyways, with larger bird species and smaller versions hidden throughout the composition. The plants, water and birds were added to the buildings to prove that life can regenerate however by the way that the building is run down, it indicates that it takes quite some time to heal. The mediums used were pencil and charcoal, and then photoshopped into larger digital images.
ARTWORK PROCESS
This artwork is a mix of pencil drawings along with AI constructed imagery. The drawings started with observational studies of the artists pets and broadened to renderings of species they liked, while concurrently experimenting with AI generated artworks. Exploring similar themes of nature, conservation and regeneration they blended these into a series of digitally layered artworks.
