Individuation is an experimental film that was created to convey the confusing journey that one has to undertake in order to understand the depths of their personal identity, whether that be gender, sexuality, race or any other part of someone’s individuality. It predominantly manipulates the technical and symbolic codes of lighting, colour and editing throughout the work to represent the distressing and confusing emotions one might feel throughout their personal journey. These codes are also used to convey the beauty and uniqueness between an individual and their community.
