I wanted to reveal narratives through found objects, and I am also curious about the feelings and emotions experienced by a viewer when observing a work of art. The backgrounds and histories of the artist and the audience impacts how both the artist and the audiences’ narratives collide and make an experience. Just as a film might suggest narrative through edited frames, so do these four manipulated collages suggest a narrative of an event. Last year, fires impacted many communities in the Noosa Hinterland and coastal areas including areas surrounding Boreen Point. Evidence of the event could still be found in the landscape.
