The subject of this painting is paganism and how it is seen by some other religions and culture. I’ve also based it on me and my twin sister. Growing up she was a golden child, getting straight As and always well behaved; hence her image on the left has been painted as an “angel.” On the other hand, I am her opposite. I feel that I was seen as an “evil child” when growing up as I resisted going to school and was always talking back; which is why I’ve painted myself on the right.
