‘Facing the moment’ explores the concept of opposing moods and transformation of attitudes through a personal context. Drawing from key alternate artists to expose internal feelings through abstraction and symbolism, utilising personal interactions with the surrounding environment and negative and positive associations to highlight a transformation in mental state from ‘where I am now’ to ‘where I want to be.’ The nature of opposing moods or feelings are embodied in the contrasting colours and symbols across the two sides of the face.
