Forever is a large realistic pencil drawing of a Kia, a New Zealand bird. The artwork was created using a formal context as I used graphite pencil, tone and blending to create a hyper realistic drawing. The focus for this artwork was to draw on my knowledge of art gained through the stimulus experience of viewing the natural environment at moffat beach and my love of drawing birds realistically. My focus was to show a connection between the artist and nature through a new perspective or viewpoint. I have done this by creating a very large scale drawing of the Kia bird. I wanted to
