My colour pencil portraits drawn in different stages of detail reflects the deeper meaning of each person’s aura and emotional state. The use of lines and colour that varied throughout creates the feeling of chaos and emotions. I hung my drawings randomly to match this. This way the audience must take time to view each piece individually. I wanted to create a variety of artworks with faces of all different shapes, ages, colours and sizes with harsh lines and soft, shading and crosshatching. I chose a different method and set of colours for each portrait. Reflecting how no one human is the same.
