My father and I are fascinated by the mystical quality of runes. Runic inscriptions were usually reserved to remember moments or people of great importance. Apart from being used as a writing system, the runic alphabets also had magical associations since historical times. I am drawn to the element of mystery attached to the runic symbols in relation to identity, and to their supposed powers.
