Persecution, hatred, and murder across time. Even as a naive child my identity never lined up with what the world expected. Through dolls I was able to explore and accept my feminine side. Studying the myths, movement and history of queer people, also helped me to be proud of my identity. My journey of gender expression and sexuality was long and confusing and is far from over, but I know that I can be myself today because of those who came before me. I wish to honour all queer people and celebrate the world they helped create.
