ARTIST STATEMENT
Through a formal context this artwork communicates elements of water that we are all familiar with, reflections, texture, and directional flow. Surface implies the sound of water through folded, pierced and torn paper. The natural and unpredictable curves and edges undulate in a peaceful reflection, a meditation that takes us away from the madness of daily life.
ARTWORK PROCESS
Student cut, curled and pierced white paper to create the effect of ripples on water. A video projection of ripples in water that she shot is overlaid.
