Was Lady Macbeth manipulative in reaching her desires? Macbeth is a story of tragedy and Lady Macbeth was the first step in driving this chain of chaos. What emerges on the canvas expresses Lady Macbeth’s feelings with the help of the cut-outs to communicate the feelings of guilt and envy. The cut-out eyes communicate a secure and confident woman, however, it masks out her deep pain and guilt in causing the insanity of her husband. Through the use of mixed media, I was able to illustrate her fatal flaw and the disarray of events.
