ARTIST STATEMENT
‘Pressure’ is a conceptual portrait representing the mask we wear from time to time, mirroring the depths of collective personal feelings and experiences. The hands grasping at the seemingly undisturbed face that is expressionless and distant on the surface, with a mask-like appearance that shelters us from all intrusive thoughts. This personifies our public masks that normalize our place in society.
