ARTIST STATEMENT
‘Collapse. Regrowth’. The interconnectivity of natural life is in a constant state of destruction and resurgence. Nature is embedded within industrialization, existing in a fluctuating state of equilibrium. The industry of current society is detrimental in the face of progress, yet in the aftermath of the collapse, botanicals display nature’s spectacle of recovery.
Manipulation of natural materials assists in the expression of human impact, a construction of the ebbing and flowing decline and regrowth. The interactions between industrialization and native flora are suspended in irresolute balance. However, this balance is slowly fading, and there is a dire need for change.
