Dancers recognise that the beauty of dance conceals it's level of difficulty. These photographic images portray dance from a dancer’s perspective. The coloured strings symbolise the overwhelming thoughts a dancer experiences while performing. Intertwined with string, the dancer attempts to navigate the demands of the choreography. To accentuate a sense of the impossible, the images were rotated to capture the dancer in unique angles, defying gravity. These improbable poses prompt the realisation of the complexity of dance and the burden placed on the dancer’s body and mind.
