All abstracts must be relevant to consumer-centred health care.

We strongly encourage abstract submissions from consumers or co-presented with consumers

You must nominate one of the following streams (read more about the streams here):
  • Consumers as researchers
  • Consumer-based health care
  • Consumer leadership
  • Consumer enablement

In addition to selecting a stream, you will be asked if you would like your abstract identified as part of the cross-cutting theme on diversity and inclusion

Presentation types are:

Option One

Oral Presentation, 10-minutes (+ 5-minute Q & A)

Option Two

Workshop, 90-minutes (must be interactive)

Option Three

Poster Presentation (preference will be given to projects "in progress")

People involved in projects which are in progress and may have limited results to present are encouraged to submit an abstract for a poster.

Unsuccessful applicants for Oral Presentations with a high-quality submission may be invited to present their abstract as a Poster Presentation.

Abstracts are to be submitted electronically and must be original work.

A word version of the application form is provided to assist you in preparing your abstract. It includes guidelines and tips for preparing your abstract – please read it carefully.

How to Write a Good Abstract
