Lau egu tadina translates to ; My Younger Sister, it's initially inspired by the Judy Watson's Tow Row. Specifically emulating the recontextualisation of the traditional net into a contemporary material giving it a new knowledge and meaning, but also paying homage to my traditional fishing nets. The photography shows my sister Cloey. The image of Cloey, starring into the camera creates a dialogue with the viewer in an attempt to question the audience about how they would feel if they were in that position. The feeling of being trapped, and not exposed to her Papua New Guinean culture.
Recontextualised the traditional netting from PNG and placed this on my sister to create a dialogue with the audience.
