Throughout our day, we engage in many mundane, routine behaviours that are not portrayed through art and the media. Raw explores the idea of documenting the every day to deliver a romanticised, colourful representation of human traits and behaviours. Overall, my work aims to question the perceived 'unattractive' stigma attached to behaviours that make us human.
I have documented people performing everyday behaviours. I explored stimulus from the documentary 'Life in a Day' produced by National Geographic. I have manipulated colour and line to romanticise a subject matter that is otherwise considered mundane, and rarely represented in art and media.
