ARTIST STATEMENT

I have applied different lenses and viewpoints to change the meaning of my paintings, I painted a person but stripped them from their appearance. This gives the effect that you can’t assume anything about them and you can’t create an opinion about them. These techniques that I used represent a personal meaning where in the paintings represent a moment in time where it’s beautiful but also shows a sad feeling at that time. I used colours that aren’t normally used to represent people, mainly inspired by Albert Madaula for my painting pieces.
