Digital art of 9 panels printed onto PVC and mounted on foam board.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Are we blindfolded to ourselves and others? Are humans like King Parrots in that they can see things that humans can’t. Often, we allow our emotions to get in the way, leaving us blind to the things around us. With this knowledge, I delved deeper into the mental health of humans and what we choose not to see. The noise of life is symbolised by the vertical linear patterns stretching through the 9 panels. The drawn emotional chemical symbols are placed in panels as interferences to our vision, making us question are we blindfolded to ourselves and others.

ARTWORK PROCESS

Nine drawings on Colour Fix paper using colour pencil, acrylic paint and felt pen. These originals were scanned and placed into Adobe Photoshop for digital manipulation by the addition of transparent lines.
